Made by the aggressive giant honey bees, Apis dorsata which are about twice the size of the European honey bees, Malaysia's Tualang honey is a famous health tonic and medicine. The locals use it to heal wounds, skin infections, flu, and regulate blood sugar and lower blood pressure. Its antibacterial potency against wound and enteric micro-organisms is believed to be comparable to New Zealand's Manuka honey.
